The IEA's Net鈥怹ero Emissions by 2050 Scenario (NZE) involves transformation of the
global energy system that is unparalleled in its speed and scope. Policies are
rapidly introduced to reduce emissions from existing fossil fuel infrastructure and
to scale up the deployment of clean energy technologies. It is consistent with limiting the global temperature rise to 1.5 掳C with no or limited temperature overshoot.
