As of March 2023, most Slovak respondents disagreed with the statement that media owners had a right to tell their journalists what to write or say. Sixty-four percent of them were of this opinion, an increase of eight percent compared to the previous year. Fifteen percent believed media owners had this right, a five percent drop compared to 2022.
