As of March 2023, most Czech respondents disagreed with the statement that media owners had a right to tell their journalists what to write or say. Two-thirds were of this opinion, an increase of five percent compared to the previous year. Fourteen percent believed media owners had this right, a five percent drop compared to 2022.
