Most Snapchat users are taking advantage of the original free version of the app. In 2022, the number of global Snapchat users stood at *** million. Although Snapchat is experiencing steady growth in terms of user numbers, other social media heavyweights still take center stage with regards to number of app downloads. In 2022, Snapchat was the fifth most downloaded mobile app worldwide, with *** million downloads. TikTok, owned by Beijing-based tech company ByteDance, was the most downloaded app of 2022. Instagram, WhatsApp, and CapCut, ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively.
