A 2022 survey revealed that U.S. voters registered with the Democratic party in the United States were the most likely to still buy print newspapers, although this group also had the highest share of respondents saying that they had never done so. Meanwhile, close to 65 percent of Independents and Republicans used to buy print papers but had stopped doing so, around ten percent more than the share of Democrats who said the same.
