According to a May 2022 survey of users in the United States, nearly 30 percent of users between 18 and 34 years thought social media platforms should have stricter content moderation policies. Around 23 percent said social media platforms should have looser content moderation policies. According to 27 percent of respondents between 35 and 44 years, social media platforms should keep their content moderation policies the same.
