When asked what their top three TV and movie genres were, 38 percent of Gen Z in the United States picked comedy as their favorite genre. This was followed by horror at 32 percent and action at 29 percent. 20 percent mentioned animation as one of their favorite TV and movie genres, while 17 percent picked mystery/thriller or romance. Drama was chosen by 15 percent, while fantasy and true crime were both mentioned by 14 percent of respondents.
