During an online survey conducted among adults in the United States in November 2021, around ** percent said they almost always ate popcorn while watching a movie in a theater. Approximately ** percent stated that they almost always drank soda on those occasions. In the U.S. and Canada, an average of over one-third of the revenue of the cinema chains came from selling food and beverage, known in the cinema market as concessions.
