The 2022 study was conducted in the 27 EU member states and follows on from earlier editions of the Intellectual Property and Youth Scoreboard, published in 2016 and 2019. The study is based on a survey questionnaire.

TV piracy among young movie viewers in Europe 2022
With the wide availability of TV shows online, have young people stopped accessing them illegally? Not according to a 2022 survey by the European Union Intellectual Property Office. 51 percent of young people surveyed in the EU reported having accessed some TV shows illegally online. 17 percent stated that had only or mostly accessed TV shows through illegal sources online. However, 43 percent of young people claimed that they had only or mainly used legal sources.
