This survey illustrates the proportion of European Union internet users who used social networks in 2018, according to different age groups. It can be seen that ** percent of respondents aged 15 to 24 had used social networks at least once during the year. This was followed by internet users aged 25 to 39, of whom ** percent had used this type of network.
It should be noted that among internet users aged 55 and over, nearly half had used social networks during the year. This is below the European Union average, which is ** percent.
