According to a survey conducted in Malaysia in February and March 2022, 32 percent of Muslim respondents indicated that they will begin preparations for Ramadan at least one or two weeks before. In comparison, 25 percent of the respondents indicated they will begin preparations for Ramadan less than one week before.
