Most new homes included in the energy performance certificate (EPC) register in England and Wales in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 had a * rating. The second most common rating band was * for England and Wales. Meanwhile, homes with a rating ranging from E to G amounted to less than *** percent each. The percentages shown here indicate the relative weight of each energy efficiency band among new EPC registrations. Housing units that have not been registered are not considered.
