According to a survey conducted in North Africa between October 2021 and July 2022, ** percent of the respondents in Tunisia agreed that, under a democratic system, the country's economic performance is weak. This was the highest share in the region. Libya and Sudan followed, with ** percent and ** percent of the surveyed population associating democracy with limited economic performance.
