Views of young Quebecers regarding welcoming migrants 2018-2022
When surveyed in March 2022, nearly half of Quebecers aged 18 to 30 believe that Canada should welcome immigrants, regardless of their language and culture, an increase of ** percentage points since 2018. For nearly a third of respondents, they believed the country should give preference to migrants with customs and values close to their own, regardless of whether they speak French or not. Finally, for ** percent of respondents, French-speaking migrants should be favored, a decrease of point compared to 2018. It seems that language and values are less important to young Quebecers than four years ago.
