When surveyed in March 2020, nearly **** of French people said they felt poorly represented by their President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. Conversely, felt well represented by the mayor of their municipality, and a little more than half shared this opinion with regard to regional and departmental councillors. It would therefore seem that the French feel more represented by their local elected official than by national ones.
