Haltiatunturi, often named only Halti, is the highest mountain in Finland with meters. The mountain is located directly at the border between Finland and Norway, and gained worldwide medial attention in 2015 when it was reported that the Norwegian government considered moving the border as a gift for Finland's jubilee, so that the whole mountain would be in Finland. However, the government ultimately opted against this as the Norwegian constitution makes this a highly complicated process. All of Finland's highest points are located in its northern region Lapland.
