In the first quarter of 2022, medical apps reported an increase of over 100 percent year-over-year in global monthly active users (MAU). Navigation apps ranked second, with a 24 percent MAU growth, while travel apps followed with an increase of approximately 20 percent year-over-year. In 2022, the yearly increase in usage of medical apps appears to be still driven by COVID-19 apps.
