LNG has become the main source of primary gas supplied to OECD Europe. In 2023, LNG imports accounted for ** percent of all natural gas brought to the region. As many European countries are looking for alternatives to Russian piped gas, the LNG market has grown in importance and the region has become the largest destination for U.S. LNG.
