An October 2020 survey asked children in Ireland which apps or websites they used the most. Overall, ** percent of boys said that they used YouTube, making it the most used platform amongst male respondents and the second most popular for girls, with ** percent. For girls, Snapchat was the leading service with ** percent of female respondents stating that they used this service in comparison with ** percent of boys. In addition, Tiktok was used over twice as much by girls than it was by boys, with ** percent and ** percent respectively.
