According to the survey, ** percent of respondents in Mozambique considered seeking external military support the best strategy to address the conflict in Cabo Delgado province. Another ** percent cited increasing the local military presence as solution. For ** percent of respondents, the best option would be negotiating with the armed extremists. Mozambique has seen the deterioration of an ongoing conflict in the northern province Cabo Delgado. Non-state armed groups are accused of perpetrating extreme violent attacks, including arbitrary killings and detentions, human trafficking, and kidnapping.
