All figures stem from either the��or the��. Both use figures submitted by the country's central bank to either or both sources.

2022 figures and beyond - release date November 2023 and later - made significant strides in reporting quality, sometimes causing significant breaks in methodology in individual countries. ��ƽ�� sometimes still had to calculate figures, however, as card figures were split between non-remote and remote use cases, or credit cards were not always clearly defined.��

Citation formats

The value of credit card payments in the United Kingdom reached an all-time high in 2022, growing by nearly ** billion British pounds that year. 2022 is the second consecutive year in which credit card expenses go up. The source claims that lockdown restrictions in the summer of 2020 limited credit card payments. The monthly credit card expenses did increase over the course of that timeframe, reaching near pre-pandemic figures in July 2021.
