According to a three-year survey, nearly all respondents from the United Kingdom owned a debit card in 2021, with **** out of 10 having used one. The difference between ownership and usage was roughly *** percentage points in 2021, a decline from a difference of **** percentage points in 2017. The report adds that women were more likely than men to own such a payment card in the European country. Gen Z - or the age group 15 to 24 years in this survey - generally was more likely to own a debit card than their older counterparts.
