According to a survey of citizens in the European Union (EU) conducted at the end of 2020, ** percent of respondents in Luxembourg make regular usage of online instant services or applications for voice or video calls within the European Union. By comparison, approximately *** in ** respondents in the country reported never using online communication services to call or video call other users based in the EU. Spain and Portugal were among the countries with the lowest usage rate of online instant communication services, with ** percent and ** percent of respondents reporting never using such services to reach EU contacts, respectively.
