According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2020, about **** percent of respondents aged 30 to 39 years reported using the South Korean government's face mask inventory service during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is an e-government service that provides information on face masks available in the country.
After the pandemic outbreak, the South Korean government disclosed COVID-19-related data in the form of open application programming interfaces (Open APIs), including information on the current status of available masks. This allowed individual developers and private companies to launch various services that provide real-time information on the number of face masks in stock.
