According to a survey conducted in Hong Kong at the end of 2024, around ****percent of Hong Kong residents had New Year wishes that were economically related, a higher proportion than in the previous year. The proportion of respondents whose New Year wishes were politically related has dropped significantly, from 48 percent in 2019 to 2.6 percent in 2024.
