Data were weighted to approximate a target sample of adults based on age, race/ethnicity, gender, educational attainment, and region. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage points.

The original survey question was formulated as: "Has the COVID-19 pandemic (coronavirus) influenced your interest in buying a home in the future?"

The respondents to this survey question were 368 White Non-Hispanic Millennials, 369 POC Millennials, 284 White Non-Hispanic GenXers, 155 POC GenXers, 288 White Non-Hispanic Baby Boomers and 87 POC Baby Boomers.

In a September 2020 survey among adults in the United States, one in three Millennials who was a person of color (POC) said that they were more interested in buying a home due to the COVID-19 pandemic (** percent). On the other hand, the share of White Non-Hispanic Millennials who were more likely to purchase a house was ** percent.
