Upcycling is the process of reusing discarded objects or material considered as waste in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original. It is an alternative to recycling that can be used to transition towards a circular economy. In 2020, 22 percent of French people between the ages of 18 and 24 believed that the fashion industry was the sector that should implement this practice as a priority.
