By 2035, almost half of the heavy-duty trucks produced in Western Europe (including Turkey) are expected to be zero-emission trucks. Purely battery electric and hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric trucks are projected to make up nearly ** percent of the market by 2035, compared to less than a tenth in 2030. By contrast, the production volume of internal combustion engine trucks is anticipated to be almost halved. The overall production of heavy-duty trucks in the region is tipped to be around ** units in 2035.
