In 2021, vans made up the majority of alternative fuel commercial vehicle sales in Europe. 2021 marked a rebound in the popularity of vans, while their share in the fleet has decreased by around **** percent between 2018 and 2020. By contrast, alternative fuel buses lost popularity, representing close to * percent of the fleet. Low-emissions trucks also lost market share in 2021, in part due to issues related to costs and infrastructure access, reaching just over percent.
