According to a survey conducted in 2020 on common concerns among Japanese regarding an influx of foreign residents in the country, almost ** percent of respondents stated that they feel uneasy about differences in language and culture. While just over ** percent of respondents reported to be worried about the public order in Japan getting corrupted, more than ** percent said they do not feel anxious about the increase of foreign residents at all.
