More than one half of Russians believed that Alexander Lukashenko would remain the president of Belarus after the protests that started after the announcement of election results in August 2020, as citizens did not consider them fair. Only 13 percent of respondents in Russia were of the opinion that Lukashenko would not be able to keep his presidency.
