Initially planned for 2017, the pension reform desired by Emmanuel Macron is the subject of new discussions in France. At the beginning of October 2022, a first round of consultations on the reform began between the government and the social partners. When asked about it at the end of September, a little less than a third of French people considered this reform as a priority, and a quarter of them saw it as secondary. For ** percent of the respondents, it was important, but not a priority. Those most likely to think that this reform was a priority or at least important were people who voted for Emmanuel Macron or Valérie Pécresse in the first round of the presidential elections in April 2022. Conversely, far-left (** percent) and far-right party supporters (** and ** percent) were more likely to consider it as secondary.
