In September 2022, shortly before the start of consultations on the future pension reform, quarters of French people considered that the use of Article **** of the Constitution to pass the text of the reform was unjustified. In France, article **** of the Constitution allows the Prime Minister to impose the adoption of a text of law, immediately and without a vote. The National Assembly can only oppose it by overthrowing the government by a motion of censure.
