According to a survey conducted in Japan in August 2024, ****Â percent of respondents belonging to households with an income of less than two million Japanese yen per year used the internet. The internet penetration rate was higher among households with a higher income. Next to household income, the share also differed depending on factors such as the age group of respondents as well as the regions people live in.
