* The Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) has been carried out by RobecoSAM since 1999. In 2018, 241 Latin American companies participated in the study. Companies are evaluated on a series of sustainability criteria that
covers economic, environmental, and social dimensions. Each evaluated company receives a score from 0 to100, ranking against other companies in its industry. The score of a country corresponds to the average resulting from the companies studied in each listed country. Further information about the methodology can be found on page 4 of the report.

In 2018 and 2019, Colombia was the leading Latin American country for corporate sustainability concerning companies' climate strategy, with a score ** and ** points, respectively. Brazil was the second on the ranking in both years. For the ranking, *** companies distributed among five countries in the region were evaluated. When considering all five countries, Latin America's average for corporate climate sustainability performance was ** points in 2019, from 100 total possible points.
