Achieving savings was the main reason why corporate sustainability professionals in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region signed a green lease, according to a 2022 survey. Approximately ** percent of respondents said they signed a green lease because energy efficient offices would help them achieve savings. Meanwhile, ** percent of respondents shared that a green lease helped them enhance the corporate brand image. A green lease is a lease that incorporates green clauses for the landlord and occupier, such as sharing data on energy, water and waste management, adopting and achieving different building performance goals, commitment to energy efficient fit-outs, renewable energy procurement, and other.
