The share of Belgians who had their blood pressure tested in the last five years has been calculated by using a statistical regression based on the answers of 9,740 respondents, age, gender, and the Belgian population in 2018.
* The number of respondents was as follows: 3,631 from Flanders, 2,510 from the Brussels-Capital Region, and 3,599 from Wallonia.

In 2018, over ** percent of the Belgian population, aged 15 years and older, had their blood pressure measured in the last five years. The measure of blood pressure, alongside with cholesterol and blood sugar controls, allows the early detection of cardiovascular risks and diabetes. From a regional perspective, the blood pressure monitoring seemed to be higher in Flanders than in Wallonia. However, in 2018, the lowest share of Belgians who had their blood pressure checked in the last five years was the lowest in the Brussels-Capital Region.
