The share of Belgians who had their cholesterol level tested in the last three years has been calculated by using a statistical regression based on the answers of 9687 respondents, age, gender, and the Belgian population in 2018.
* The number of respondents was as follows: 3,613 from Flanders, 2,500 from the Brussels-Capital Region, and 3,574 from Wallonia.

In 2018, three out of four Belgians, aged 15 years and older, have had their cholesterol level checked in the last three years. With a share of **** percent, cholesterol monitoring was the highest in the region of Wallonia. Cholesterol level is especially important to prevent and detect diabetes and cardiovascular risks.
