A recent survey found that although around half of Americans wanted to keep up with news concerning the coronavirus epidemic, ** percent of adults surveyed said that they were seeking out news that is unrelated to the virus. As of May 2020, news fatigue surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak is apparent, with a significant proportion of the population tired of news concerning coronavirus, and the majority searching for information on unrelated topics.
