According to Belgian consumer reviews, Colruyt was a stronger supermarket brand in 2020 than discounters Lidl or Aldi. This based on results from a consumer survey that looked at the combined brand strength, a rating that was based on several features like quality, price, the use of promotions, brand familiarity and brand reputation. Delhaize and Albert Heijn completed the top three with ** and ** points, respectively. German giants Lidl and Aldi followed closely in fourth and fifth.
