According to a poll conducted in May 2020 in the United States, around 23 percent of consumers earning more than 100,000 U.S. dollars in income expected to spend more on alcoholic beverages due to the coronavirus pandemic. In contrast, 16 percent of those earning less than 50,000 U.S. dollars in income expected to spend less on alcohol.
