Data were acquired in two ways: 1. students took part to a survey answering to a questionnaire, 2. school documents were consulted in order to gain information about gender, age, grades, citizenship, school credit, and type of diploma.
*about 50 percent answered.

Opinions on proficiency of teachers among high school students in Italy 2021
In 2021, the majority of high school graduates held a positive opinion on the competences of their school teachers. In particular, 18.7 percent of students declared to be really satisfied with the experience they had with their previous teachers, while 60.9 percent stated to be moderately happy.
A similar recent survey shows that a large group of Italian respondents considered teachers in Italy to be competent and well prepared.
