In a study held in spring 2020, it was found that the most popular device for listening to podcasts among Canadian adults was their smartphone, with 68 percent of survey respondents saying that they used their phone to access podcasts. Increasingly popular since 2019 was to use a computer to listen to podcasts, with 40 percent of respondents stating usage through a computer in 2020 compared to 26 percent in 2019.
