As of 2023 in Sweden, ****Â percent of women aged 15 to 49 years were using intrauterine devices (IUD), the highest prevalence of this form of contraception in Europe. Norway and Belgium followed with just under a quarter of women in both countries with an IUD. While in Albania, less than *** percent of women had an IUD implanted.Â
Norway has the highest prevalence in Europe of women using any form of contraception, with over ** percent using any method. Czechia and Finland both had high levels of use among women with around ** percent of women in each country generally using contraception. Furthermore, Greece had the highest prevalence in Europe of women using the male condom as their main form of contraception with almost ** percent doing so. Condoms are currently the only form of contraception that prevents both pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted infections. 
Denmark had the highest rate of Chlamydia ·É¾±³Ù³óÌý*** cases per 100 thousand population, followed by Norway with a rate of ***. Furthermore, across the whole of Europe, there were over **Ìý³Ù³ó´Ç³Ü²õ²¹²Ô»å cases of Syphilis reported in 2033. Spain and Germany had the highest number of cases in their countries with each having over thousand cases reported in this year.
