Would you support the extension of this ban to include all retailers (i.e. those with less than 250 employees)? Currently, laws in England require retailers with *** or more employees to charge **** pence for all single-use plastic carrier bags. In a 2019 survey, ** percent of British respondents strongly supported this ban to be extended to smaller retailers with less than *** employees.
In the 2017/18 fiscal year, more than *** billion single-use plastic carrier bags were issued by large supermarkets in England. Of this amount, approximately *** million plastic carrier bags were issued by the UK's leading supermarket Tesco.
