* Question originally phrased as "We would now like you to think about a 'bottle deposit scheme'. This is where consumers pay an up-front deposit when they buy a bottle of drink from a store. Similar schemes already operate in countries such as Denmark, Sweden and Germany. This deposit ranges from 8p in Sweden to 22p in Germany, which is redeemed on return of the empty drink container. This is often done through a network of 'reverse vending machines', where you insert your plastic or glass bottle and the machine returns your money. If a bottle deposit scheme was introduced in the UK, similar to the one described above, and you had easy access to an 'empty drink container' how likely would you be to use this?"
