Senior consumers in South Korea - statistics & facts
South Korea has become a 鈥渟uper-aged鈥 society, with no sign of reversal in sight. While this poses enormous economic risks, a new active consumer group has emerged alongside efforts to raise the country鈥檚 birthrate. This new consumer group is called 鈥渁ctive seniors鈥, also referred to as the silver generation. This group consists of people aged 50 years and older who are still actively participating in society and the economy, even after reaching their retirement age.
