Global emerging oil producers and non-OPEC growth - statistics & facts
Non-OPEC oil producers are responsible for the greatest oil production growth in the last few years and are also expected to contribute the most to 2025 gains. This is largely attributed to already established producing giants such as the United States and Brazil. These two countries were also the ones with the highest drilling licensing activity worldwide in the first months of 2025. Among the smaller producers are India and Guyana. The former recently awarded licenses to oil fields with an expected oil volume even higher than for new licenses in the U.S. The latter has become the front-runner among emerging producers, with oil extraction growing 400-fold in just five years.
