Each year, thousands of metric tons of avocados are exported from Mexico to the United States, reaching over one million in 2023, and over 100,000 metric tons are exported just during Super Bowl season. However, for avocados to make the trip from the fields of ²Ñ¾±³¦³ó´Ç²¹³¦Ã¡²Ô, Mexico, to the guacamole on the table at the Super Bowl watch party, several factors need to fall into place and, despite the upward trend in recent years, avocado production and exports seem to be slowing down.
