Coming into the 2023 tournament, India topped the ICC rankings for Men鈥檚 One Day International countries, and despite their defeat in the World Cup final, they remained in the top spot after the tournament concluded. As the runner-up in the competition, India received two million U.S. dollars from the Cricket World Cup's prize pot.
